“Stepchildren of Blogs”: [Batman/SKstalker] INSOMNIA: The Ark [Upd #1]: Post added

For most of us, the phrase “game from Russian developers” only evokes a grin and skepticism. And there are a number of good reasons for this: secondary compared to Western developments, clumsy execution, etc. However, there are quite a lot of examples and blah, blah, blah… This is how one of my next articles about domestic games would begin. But not today. And now I’ll explain why.

In just a month, maximum two, a domestic project called INSOMNIA: The Ark. Two things happened last Friday.

First (about the second a little later), a review trailer for the project has been released. And… it was about nothing in terms of revealing the spirit of INSOMNIA: The Ark. Like all informational articles on gaming portals that simply retold the text from the trailer.

• Development has been going on for eight years;
• Content will last for 60 hours or more;
• 250 NPCs with unique dialogues;
• The total number of words exceeds 200,000;
• The plot has 12 different endings;
• Over 80 pieces of equipment;
• Over 80 types of weapons;
• Four companions who can travel with the main character;
• Over 70 unique locations;
• Over 5,000 public finance investors.

This is what should interest https://slot-madness-casino.co.uk/ the average player enough to want to get to know the game better?

And this despite the fact that the game is not just another “Our answer to Fallout”. INSOMNIA: The Ark is an RPG in a completely new, not hackneyed, setting created from scratch, with a level of elaboration of the game world and its history comparable to the series Fallout. A game that combines visual style art deco, which you may remember from the first parts BioShock, aesthetics dieselpunk, one of the derivatives of cyberpunk and roleplaying depth/variability classic RPGs.

All this is not in the news feeds, and some aspects cannot be conveyed in short trailers at all.

The question may arise, why am I talking so confidently about all this?? Two points:

— At the beginning of last month, I posted a detailed article about this game on blogs. And to write this topic, I had to dig up and analyze a LOT of information about this project;

— Maybe not everyone on the blogs read the article and appreciated the work I did, but the representatives of Mono Studio did. In gratitude, they provided me with access to the CBT INSOMNIA: The Ark, which I crawled up and down.

And now, as promised, oh second event that happened on Friday.
Exactly at 18.00 Moscow time 03.08.In 2018, the restriction on the publication of materials based on the PSA was lifted.
I thought, I still have time to write a preview, but I can’t tell you about the project. In addition, more than one preview will still not give a complete and correct idea of the game.
And then a great (or maybe not so great – time will tell) idea came to my mind. We are not just in blogs, but in blogs StopGame.ru.
What do they really like on StopGame?.ru? Right: streams. Since the site’s authors can do them, why can’t I?? Moreover, we are unlikely to see this game in the schedule of official SG streams.

Here another question arose: how? After all, I have never streamed in my life. I decided to find myself an assistant and found. Japanese assistant. SKstalker agreed to keep me company in this difficult matter. And since all he knows about INSOMNIA: The Ark is that I “blogged something about it,” this will be doubly interesting.
